STAMPlorations Inspiration - National Coffee Day

Happy Tuesday, aka STAMPlorations Inspiration post day. Today we have a special post as we are participating in the National Coffee Day hop hosted by the Coffee Loving Cardmarkers. As always, STAMPlorations is one of the supersponsors for the event. This time the hop is a bit different from waht you are used to if you usually play along - there is no linking up this time, just a hop to all the super sponsors.

This year, STAMPlorations is giving away 2 prizes: a $20 gift code and  Zen Coffee 1 cover plate dieWinners will be drawn from all comments left on the STAMPlorations Inspiration post between September 29 and October 6. As an extra perk, select coffee themed products are 20% off in the STAMPlorations store BUT if you ALSO use my DT cupon code STAMPGIRLKAROLA at checkout you get an EXTRA 20% off!! (note that if you use my code I will get a very small commission on the sales as I'm a STAMPlorations affiliate, but most importantly it will not be at any added cost to you).

For my card, I started by stencilling autumn colours through the Leaf Prints Mini stencil and splattered some ink on the card too for extra interest. Then I stamped, coloured and fussy cut the coffee cup and pot from What's Brewing, added them to the card and finished with a sentiment from the same set.

STAMPlorations Inspiration

Happy Tuesday! How are you doing? I'm not sure, I really feel a bit all over the place. I feel quite sentimental about the nights starting to come in earlier and earlier, but at the same time, it's great to be able to start wearing wool socks and light candles again. And of course, it's less than 100 days to Christmas and I'm really looking forward to my two-week Christmas break... a bit premature maybe but I feel a bit exhausted by work at the moment so I can't wait. In the meantime, I will be grateful for having a job, even if it sucks the life out of me from time to time.

For today's STAMPlorations Inspiration post I have been playing with stencils and Distress Inks. I started by Sanna's new Rainbows stencil and inked a rainbow of Distress inks through it. I then added some clouds using Clouds. Last, I added the Be A Rainbow stamp in bold black ink and that's it! A super easy and fun card with just a few stencils and stamps.

As always, don't forget to comment on the STAMPlorations Inspiration post as you will be in a monthly random draw for a $15 gift code to the STAMPlorations store. And don't forget you get 20% off regular priced items using my code STAMPGIRLKAROLA at checkout, and in addition there are lots of great offers in the store at the moment.

STAMPlorations Inspiration

Happy Tuesday! It's time for this week's STAMPlorations Inspiration post. This week I am embracing autumn and the change in the colours in nature. I also decided to play a bit with mixed media and some techniques I don't use very often.

I started by inking my background in red, orange and brown Distress Inks. I then created ghosted images on the background using the leaves from Trendy Leaves, stamping with water to bleach the Distress Ink background. To create the colourful leaves, I used Distress Ink pads to ink up the stamps randomly and spritzed with a mini mister before stamping and fussy cutting the leaves. Last, I die cut a sentiment using Everyday Sentiments in dark brown, and then matted my card panel onto red card and then attached to a white card base. You might also have spotted the fun wonky grid I die cut into the background - it's a sneak peek of a new product which you will see more of soon!

Don't forget that by commenting on the STAMPlorations Inspiration post you will enter into a monthly draw for a $15 gift code to the STAMPlorations store.

STAMPlorations Inspiration

Happy Tuesday! Today I'm bringing you a bit of sparkle as part of my project for this week's STAMPlorations Inspiration post. I had a week off work last week, which I had been looking forward to very much as I haven't really had much time off since our week of skiing in February. Doesn't that feel like another life? I was looking forward to a week of crafting and knitting but instead, we have been painting my partner's old home which we have been renting out for the last eight years. And it really was in need of a lick of paint - well, correct that, a few gallons of paint. But I have to admit, I am starting to feel my age, and a week of full-time DYIing has taken its toll. And as much as I love painting and colouring beautiful stamps, I really, really, really don't like painting walls! Oh well, it's all done now and I think I deserve some sparkles and I'm sure you do too!

Today's card combines a few fabulous STAMPlorations stamp sets. I started by stamping the beautiful horse from Deepti's Live Love Ride and turned it into a unicorn. I then added lots of rainbow colours flowing from the unicorn's mane out all over the card. I added the Leave a Little Sparkle sentiment and the diamonds from Sparkly. Next, I upped the bling factor by inking Versafine thorough the Dots All Over stencil and heat embossed in sparkly silver embossing powder. I also added

STAMPlorations Inspiration

Happy September! I'm still in denial that summer has passed and the nights are getting darker again. But that means there is more time for crafting, nothing like a rainy day, a hot cuppa and a craft room full of goodies for inspiration. And as it's Tuesday it's also time for a new STAMPlorations Inspiration post.  Don't forget to leave a comment on the STAMPlorations Inspiration post to enter into a draw for a $15 gift code to the STAMPlorations store

Today's card is inspired by the increasing amount of hot drinks as the weather starts to cool down. I used one of my Distress Oxide panels from my inspiration box and die cut it with the Zen Coffee Cup Layering Dies. I also die cut the cup in black, and then paper pieced it using the colourful pieces. I absolutely love the process of paper piecing these beautiful, intricate die cuts. It's so calming! I added a border using the Dots 'n Beans stencil and pink Distress Ink, and finished with a bunch of sentiments from Coffee Happy

Stamps: STAMPlorations Coffee Happy
Dies: CUTplorations Zen Coffee Cup Layering Dies
Stencil: ARTplorations Dots 'n Beans
Ink and colouring: Tim Holtz Distress Oxides
