Unicorn rainbow

This week the inspiration picture over at Just Add Ink is wonderful, as soon as I saw it I knew I had to play along. You can see the image below. I've seen the biscuits on the right hand side of the picture before, and they were called Unicorn Poop. So of course I had to make a Unicorn themed card.

I love the texture of watercolour paper, I think it makes such a pretty background for a card. I used Tim Holtz distress markers and an AquaFlo brush for the rainbow, and then sprayed with Perfect Pearls mist, although it doesn't show very well in the picture. I coloured a few pearls using Sharpies to match the rainbow colour scheme.

Cardstock: Coloured 240 gsm kraft card in Purple Grape, Dale&Rowney 300 gsm Aquafine watercolour paper
Stamps: Lawn Fawn Critters Ever After, Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz distress markers in Festive Berries, Mowed Lawn, Rich Razzleberry, Ripe Persimmon, Salty Ocean and Squeezed Lemonade, 80's Glam Sharpies
Other: Fiskars star punch, scrap of silver cardstock from my stash, Stampin' Up basic pearls, Perfect Pearls mist

  1. I had never heard of Unicorn Poop! LOL - My daughter (Miss 11) said to me that she loved the Rainacorn Poop Cookies on Deb Fearns blog! I suppose we learn something new everyday! The rainbow water-colouring effect is perfect and your unicorn is simple adorable. Thank you for playing along to Just Add Ink this week. Louise xo
