When I saw the current RetroRubber challenge, I thought I couldn't participate. The challenge is to use your old Christmas stamps, but most of my stamps are quite new. But then I was looking for something completely unrelated in my craft room I found a pack of Christmas stamps I didn't even remember I had and had never used. One of them was a super cute dog in a Christmas elf hat. Perfect for the challenge! The challenge also had a sketch which I used for the layout. I'm also linking up at A Gem of a Challenge where the theme is Anything Christmas, Allsorts Challenge where the theme is Animal Magic and Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge where the theme is Bright Colours.
I stamped the dog in black Memento ink onto Crumb cake card and coloured with Copics. I also stamped some little paw prints around the dog. I matted the image onto red paper and die cut a decorative border. I stamped the greeting from another long lost stamp set. Last, I stamped some more paw prints onto the background paper.
Card: Stampin' Up Crumb Cake, Real Red
Stamps: Christmas dog and greeting stamp from my stash (no indication of make)
Ink: Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black, Stampin' Up Real Red, Copics E34, E39, R24, R46
Paper: Free paper from Cardmaking&Papercraft magazine, scrap of Stampin' Up Print Poetry
Other: Tim Holtz Vintage Lace die, Ranger Ice stickles
