Crafts Galore Encore - Halloween
It's another new month, and that means it's another new challenge over at Crafts Galore Encore. For the month of October we are challenging you to make it Halloween, or alternatively make a card. Our sponsor this month is the amazingly fantastic Bugaboo who are giving a great prize of 7 digis to our randomly chosen winner. In addition, if you are one of the DT's top picks you get a fabulous badge to display on your blog. Head over to Crafts Galore Encore to see what the other DT ladies have created using digis from our wonderful sponsor.
I got to play with Bugaboo's great digi Make It Snappy Halloween House. I created a round mask using a round die, and sponged it with yellow and orange distress inks. Then I used the same mask to sponge the lighter green halo on the grass, as if the moon was reflecting on the grass. Then I sponged the grass and sky and coloured the house with Copics. I used distress inks to colour the sentiment and the black frame around the image and sentiment. To enhance the black shadow elements like the cat, skull and pumpkin lantern I added Glossy Accents to them, it just makes them pop from the background. Last, I added some water splashes.
I would like to link up with the following challenges:
Through the Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
Artistic Inspirations - Anything Goes with a twist of black
