I should have worked late tonight. I really would have needed to prep for my meeting with the big boss tomorrow. Instead I came home to craft. At least I have my priorities all worked out! Today was another one of my "where did Mr Mojo go?" days. I ended up making this card twice as I destroyed the first version by doing a stupid polka-dot background. So I had to start again from scratch. I've had enough of watercolouring for today, that's all I can say. At least the second version turned out better than the first, so I guess it was worth it in the end.
Sadly, we have now entered that half of the year when I can't get pictures of my cards in daylight anymore and for the next six months or so I will sadly have to ask you to put up with the horrors of flash photography. Oh well, it's almost Christmas, and then it's just a few short months until spring. Whoever said my glass is not half full?
Today's card was partly created in my head while stuck in traffic on my way home. Then it took a detour to polka dot-ville and ended up in my bin. Second time somewhat luckier. My inspiration was the gorgeous image over at Just Add Ink. I was inspired by the colours, the layout of the fun collection of spherical stuff which I think resembles the shape of the flower stamp I used. I was also inspired by the grey stripes in the right side image, and the bling-y mirror for the silver sentiment and small gems, and the sheer curtains were an inspiration for my vellum sentiment panel. I have to say I really love this inspiration image! For the layout I was also inspired by the current Retro Sketch. I am also linking up over at STAMPlorations October challenge where the theme is stamps + fave colour combo. I have two mostest favouritest colour combos, pink and green, and purple and turquoise. I guess pink and brown would be up there as well... anyhow, this time I went for pink and green, with a bit of gorgeous grey thrown in for good measure. And while I'm at it, why not link up at STAMPlorations anything goes as well.

I'm having the same issues with my card photography right now - lots of gray North Dakota days! Regardless of the brightness, I love the way your card turned out - such a pristine, lovely design. Thanks for sharing it at STAMPlorations!
I have not used this flower yet but you have so inspired me it has moved further up the list of to does. What a wonderful eye catching card. Truly beautiful. I have never heard of hammered card stock will have to look and see what it is. Everything you did on this card is brilliant.
