25 Days Of Christmas Tags

I am thrilled to share a tag as part of 25 Days of Christmas Tags event which is brought to all of us by the fabulous Tracey McNeely of In My Creative Opinion. There has already been 25 days of amazing inspiration! However, you might have noticed that it's already the 26th today. This year 25 days of tags wasn't quite enough so there is a special slot sponsored by STAMPlorations today to make sure you get a bonus day of tag inspiration! And of course there is a way for you to play along and win some fabulous prizes by either commenting on the designers' posts or by creating your own tag inspired by one of the tags presented by the designers. You can see the linkup post here for more information.
For my tag, I started by die cutting a tag from watercolour paper using the largest of the CUTplorations Luggage Tags Nesting Dies. Then I stamped the Holiday Sketches: Christmas Candles in black ink and heat embossed in clear powder. I coloured the image using Tim Holtz Distress markers and a water brush. I then masked the stamped image and inked through the tag die using yellow, orange and brown Distress Inks. I also added some spots through the ARTplorations Dots All Over stencil for some added interest. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed in copper, and die cut a backing tag in copper card to match. Last, I added some ribbon which I tied with twine and added a sequin with a rhinestone as a finishing touch.

Card: 300 gsm Daler&Rowney Watercolour paper, Copper metallic card
Stamps: STAMPlorations Holiday Sketches: Christmas Candles, Joyful
Ink: Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge, Vintage Photo, Distress markers for colouring
Other: CUTplorations Luggage Tags Nesting Dies, ARTplorations Dots All Over stencil, Ranger clear embossing powder, Papermania Copper embossing powder, ribbon, twine, gold sequin and red adhesive rhinestone from my stash

  2. Very pretty.
    the blow from the candles,
    the flowers around the candles,
    and the different orientation
    of the stamping is wonderful.
