STAMPlorations December CAS Challenge

It's December. How did this happen? Are you freaking out about Christmas? We are having family over for Christmas and I'm already stressed about cooking. And don't even get me started on cleaning the house. It's a disgrace...

With all the above in mind, I have made a safe fortress in my craft room. I just craft and refuse to come out and face all the Christmas preparations. What an adult way to handle things, right? I created this card using the great new Christmas sentiment stamp set Joy. I stamped the solid words in various Christmas colours using Distress Inks, and then added the black outlines. I splattered some Distress Ink and that's it. Super quick and easy, a minimal amount of stash needed. Perfect for those last-minute cards, and perfect for mass production.

I hope you'll come and play along with our STAMPlorations December CAS Challenge. All you need to do is link up a CAS card, the rest of the rules are in the CAS Challenge post. The colour twist is optional but highly recommended!

Stamps: STAMPlorations Joy
Ink: Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink

This is a lovely card- I love the colors - you made me laugh regarding Christmas prep --- we just finished with Thanksgiving - here in my home and now I am preparing for Christmas [here in my home] [which is easier in my eyes since I only have to do the meat and a side dish - everyone else has to bring stuff YEAH] anywhoo - my good friend Rochelle is an amazing cook - she shared her secret with me [which I only did once]about preparing for Holiday cooking - and she puts on both Thanksgiving and Christmas each year with her large family!! - here you go - she cooks her turkey, and many of the dishes ahead of time - freezes them - she stated no one knows the difference in taste - I tried it after she told me HOW I need to wrap and freeze each dish and be sure to add the broth-- lots of broth to the meat before freezing - it worked and was a breeze on Christmas day--- okay I rattled enough! best wishes on your prep and let's face it YOU HAVE TO COME out of the craft room and get cooking sometime - [also a cleaning tip: dump all the household stuff laying around in baskets and boxes and store in the garage - that will make cleaning fast!! hehehhe--- Merry Christmas!

Wait, what, I don't understand your words Gail, what does "YOU HAVE TO COME OUT OF THE CRAFT ROOM" mean? Doesn't compute?!?!? Haha :D But thanks for all the tips and yes I'm planning to do some freezing of some of the food so that's a great idea. And may have to take you up on the tip to use the boxes for all the stuff too...
Hope you have a lovely Christmas too and a Crafty New Year!!
