STAMPlorations Inspiration

Happy Tuesday crafty peeps! I hope you are ready for some crafting inspiration, as we are back with the ladies from the STAMPlorations DT over on the STAMPlorations blog for this week's Inspiration post. Comment to win - you know the drill by now, right? And don't forget our short winter break from the STAMPlorations challenges is almost over and we'll be back with the March instalment the day after tomorrow, all refreshed and rested!

For today's card, I combined one of my all-time favourite stencils, Sanna's gorgeous Evolution with my favourite cute critter set Woodland Friends. I used Distress Inks on the stencil, die-cut the panel using Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies and inked Vintage Photo around the edges. I stamped the fox on white card, coloured him with Copics and fussy cut him. I attached him onto a panel of vellum I die cut using the smallest one of the Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies. I heat embossed the sentiment in copper using Bold Sentiments: Fabulous and die cut the word fabulous from copper card using Fabulous Word die. Last, I added some Ice Stickles to the sentiment for that extra little bling!

STAMPlorations Inspiration

We are past the middle of February. Does this mean I can start dreaming of Spring? At least my craft room seems to be longing for brightly coloured florals and green leaves. That's why, for today's STAMPlorations Inspiration Post I did some fun colouring with stamps.

I started by stamping Dee's beautiful Blossom Sprays #1. I then used a stamp from Art Marks to colour the flowers with Distress Oxides. I finished by adding a sentiment from Noteworthy 3. Quick and easy one layer card with lots and lots of colour!

STAMPlorations New Release Reprise

Have you enjoyed the STAMPlorations February 2020 release week? Have you checked out all four posts introducing the new stamp sets? We introduced Layered Vase, Leafy, Softly and Sweetly. I hope you enjoyed hopping along with us. Today we are back quickly to show a few more projects which didn't make it into the main posts. And don't forget you have a few more days to comment for a chance to win a $20 gift code or one of the new stamp sets.

Today I'm showing two more projects I made using Leafy. For the first card, I stamped the solid leaf stamps using light Distress Ink colours onto linen textured card. I then added the Typografia Motivate: Just Be Better in black and splattered a bit of ink for added interest.

For my second card, I inked Wilted Violet Distress Ink through the Bubbles Mini stencil. I inked a piece of white card using green Distress Inks, stamped the leaves and fussy cut them. Last, I inked up a bit of card using green and purple Distress ink and die cut the sentiment using Skinny Sentiments.

STAMPlorations New Release Sweetly

It's time to introduce the fourth stamp set of the STAMPlorations February 2020 release week. And it's another one of Shery's gorgeous floral sets - Sweetly. It contains a big bunch of flowers, a butterfly and a mix of words and sentiments.

For my first card, I stamped the butterfly, masking as I went along. I used my watercolours to colour the butterflies, letting the colours run over the lines to create a rainbow halo around the butterflies. I created the sentiment by heat embossing in white.

For my second card I started by stamping the bunch of flowers onto watercolour card and heat embossed in gold. I then die cut the panel using the Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies and coloured the flowers with the Faber Castell watercolour pencils. I attached the panel onto some Tim Holtz patterned paper and added a gold sentiment which I die cut using Everyday Sentiments.

For a chance to win a $20 gift code or one of the new stamp sets, comment on the blog post over on the STAMPlorations blog and the participating designer's blogs. You don't have to comment on all blogs, but every comment will be entered in the random draw. Commenting is open until February 19th and the randomly drawn winners will be announced on February 21st. STAMPlorations New Release Softly

It's time for day three of the STAMPlorations February 2020 Release week. Today we are showing off the first of Shery's two beautiful new floral stamp sets Softly. This stamp set comes with several gorgeous sentiments and a large floral stamp which is perfect for many different occasions and is so much fun to colour!

For my first card I stamped the florals onto Tim Holtz patterned paper. The paper is light grey and has a light newsprint background. I inked Antique Linen distress ink around the edges and added Mixed Media Elements stamps also in Antique Linen around the edges of the panel. I coloured the florals with my Polychromos pens and added a grey sentiment using Everyday Sentiments dies.

For my second card, I masked a strip of the card front and inked a rainbow using Distress Inks. I stamped the sentiments from Softly, and after masking the rainbow strip I stamped the florals in black.

For a chance to win a $20 gift code or one of the new stamp sets, comment on the blog post over on the STAMPlorations blog and the participating designer's blogs. STAMPlorations New Release Leafy

Welcome to day two of the STAMPlorations February 2020 release week! Did you get a chance to check out our release of Shirley's Layered Vase? Today we are showcasing Dee's new Leafy stamp set which contains pretty much every single leaf you could ever need.

For my first card, I stamped the different leaves all around the edges of a card. I started by stamping the solid leaves in lighter green Distress Inks and then added some of the outlined leaves in darker colours. I finished by adding Typografia Motivate: Quitting in black Versafine ink.

For my second card, I started with an ombre background panel. I stamped one of the leaves multiple times in Versafine and heat embossed them in copper. I die cut the sentiment using Skinny Sentiments using copper card and some more of the ombre card I used for the card panel.

For a chance to win a $20 gift code or one of the new stamp sets, comment on the blog post over on the STAMPlorations blog and the participating designer's blogs. STAMPlorations Inspiration

As you are reading this, I'm enjoying a week of skiing in the Austrian Alps. So I was inspired to create a card with lots of snow for this week's STAMPlorations Inspiration Post. I inked various blue Distress inks through the Dots All Over stencil and added the happy little snowman from  Winter Chill and a sentiment from the same set. I thought it was a fun technique to use different colours of ink and move the stencil around a bit for a repeat pattern.

STAMPlorations New Release Layered Vase

It's time for the STAMPlorations February 2020 release over on the STAMPlorations blog. I'm so excited to show you some projects I created using the four fabulous new stamp sets which are all perfect for spring cards, Mother's Day, maybe for someone's birthday or just to celebrate spring! We'll showcase all four sets over the next four days. As always, you can comment on the blog posts for a chance to win a gift code or stamp set!

Today we are showcasing Shirley's new stamp set Layered Vase. It's another in Shirley's fun line of stamp sets with layered stamps for colouring your images by stamping with solid stamps. It creates a great artsy look really quickly and easily.

For my first card, I stamped the vase and flowers at the edge of the card panel. I added the layered flowers in yellow and orange Distress Inks, inking the stamps with multiple colours for an ombre effect. I used light blue and light green Copics to trace the vase and the stems of the flowers. I added a sentiment from Softly, another new stamp set which we'll showcase the day after tomorrow. Last, I splattered black ink for added interest.

For my second card, I stamped the vase with flowers but I spritzed the inked stamp before stamping for a watercolour effect. I then added colour to the flowers using the solid stamps and Distress Inks in yellow and purple and splattered the card with yellow ink before adding a sentiment using the Everyday Sentiments dies.

STAMPlorations Inspiration

Happy Tuesday! Have you been crafting lately? If not, we (that is me and the other ladies of the STAMPlorations design team, don't worry, I haven't started to refer to myself in the third person!) are here again to bring you some inspiration over at the STAMPloration weekly Inspiration Post. I hope our projects give you ideas to create something on your own!

I made a card a while back using the paper piecing technique and the gorgeous Bloomtangled 2 Cover Plate Die. You can see the project here. But after inking up the die cut with Distress Inks and using the inlaid pieces, I was still left with a beautiful die-cut which I didn't want to waste. So I simply added it to a white card base and added a heat embossed sentiment. You can use this same technique using any of the gorgeous cover plate dies, which you can find in the STAMPlorations store here
