June STAMPlorations challenges - Mid-Month Reminder

The summer is rushing away in a hurry, how can we already be halfway through June? The silver lining is that we are only halfway thorough June, so there is still two more weeks to play along with the STAMPlorations challenges. Together with my fellow DT members, we were so inspired by the current challenges that we wanted to share some more projects with you over on the STAMPlorations blog. Hope you will join us if you haven't already!

I was super inspired by one of the CAS challenge entries from May, by the super talented Jane. She had used the faux watercolour technique for her beautiful card, and I immediately went into my craft room to create a card. I coloured the beautiful Blossom Sprays #3 stamp using Distress Markers, spritzed with water and stamped on watercolour card. I then lightly sprayed the stamped image to blend the inks just a little bit more. The colouring of the stamps can be a bit fiddly, but I absolutely love the look, so it's definitely worth the time. For a high impact sentiment, I heat embossed a Thank You from For the Birds in white on black card.

November STAMPlorations challenges - Mid-Month Reminder

Halfway through the month already? Can you hear Christmas approaching? Have you already played along with our November challenges over at STAMPlorations? I can't help you with the first two dilemmas, but if your answer to the last question is no, fear not. You can find freshly added inspiration today for various November challenges on the STAMPlorations blog. My tag is for the November TAGplorations challenge, where the theme is about being thankful and with an optional twist of polka dots. I'm very thankful for coffee every morning and I thought it would probably be fun to drink it out of a pink polka-dot mug!

The background is created using Distress Oxide smooching. I stamped the coffee mug and pot and coloured using Copics, except for the coffee cup which I paper pieced. Last I heat embossed the sentiment using copper embossing powder.

October STAMPlorations CAS challenge - Mid-Month Reminder

Welcome to our mid-month STAMPlorations challenge reminder post. As you may have noted, this year we are not doing separate reminder posts for each challenge, but instead doing one inspiration filled reminder post. I hope this will inspire you to play along with our STAMPlorations challenges in case you haven't already (and if you have, the challenges allow you to link up multiple times if you happen to get inspired again!)

Our CAS challenge optional colour twist this month is black, and I thought a black background would be perfect to show off gold splatters and the blingtastic stamps from Sparkly. I stamped the jewels in Versamark and heat embossed in gold, coloured them with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils and added some details in white gel pen. I used an old Stampin' Up stamp to stamp the splatters in Versamark and heat embossed in gold. Last, I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of purple ombre card from my stash.
