Just a quick post today to show you a CAS Christmas card I made the other day. I was going to post this yesterday, but I ended up spending most of the day in the kitchen. So much about that weight I lost, it's come back with a vengeance. I made american pancakes for lunch, with bacon and eggs on the side. And as it's the Culinary Consultant's birthday on Monday, I thought we could celebrate with a great roast dinner on Saturday rather than on Monday when he will be at work all day. So I made a huge roast dinner with all the trimmings - roast spuds (that's potatoes to anyone who doesn't speak Norfolkian), honey and herb roast parsnip and carrots, yorkies, proper gravy with lots of red wine and some greens on the side. And last but not least, a Deadpool birthday cake. A rich, fudge-y chocolate sponge filled with our home-made fig jam, candied stem ginger and buttercream. I love buttercream. A cake is not a cake if it doesn't have buttercream, right?
Ok, now I'm hungry again after thinking of all the deliciousness we ate yesterday. The benefit of slaving in the kitchen all day yesterday is there is plenty of leftovers for tonight, and probably a few more nights to come so I have more time to craft!
Today's card was inspired by the colours over at Color Throwdown and the sketch over at CAS(E) This Sketch. I'm also linking up over at Addicted to Stamps and More where the theme is Holiday and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge where Anything Goes.
