STAMPlorations Spring Fling and Blog Hop Reminder

This is your official reminder that you still have a few days (until the end of the month) left to hop along and/or link up to the STAMPlorations Spring Fling Blog Hop & Linky Party if you were planning to do so but haven't yet done so. You can find lots of inspiration for spring-themed creations on the STAMPlorations Spring Fling blog post and if you hop along and comment, or link up your own creations you can win one of several great prizes. In addition, there is a free digi which you can download and which I used for my project.

I created my card using the free Coffee Bloom Prints Digital Stamp, which you can download from the STAMPlorations digi store for free! I re-sized the digi to 80%, printed it, coloured with Sharpies and fussy cut it. I ran a black marker around the edges of the coffee cup before attaching it to a background I created by blending Distress Oxides and splattered it with water. I heat embossed a sentiment from What's Brewing in white onto black card to finish the card.

I'm also linking up this card over at the Spring/Summer 2020 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. Don't forget that STAMPlorations is one of the super sponsors for the hop, and there are additional prizes to be won over on the STAMPlorations Coffee Lovers Blog Hop post.

Ink and colouring: Distress Oxides, Sharpies, Tsukineko Versamark

Coffee Mug for Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Have you already played along with the Spring/Summer 2020 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop? I have, but I feel this great event warrants at least another card. Also, this is a reminder that STAMPlorations is one of the super sponsors for the hop, and as usual, Shery is giving away extra prizes over on the STAMPlorations blog (and it's from the new CRAFTplorations product range so it's super exciting!) and there is a gorgeous free digi too.

A while ago, I created a bunch of panels by smooshing Distress Oxides, and decided to use some for this card. I started with a lovely pastel panel which I die cut with one of the beautiful, ornate dies from Zen Coffee Cup Layering Dies and matted on black card. I then used another panel and die cut that with Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies. I stamped the coffee cup from Bloomin' Coffee and You in grey on white card, added the Distress Oxide panel and coffee cup, and compelted the card with a fun sentiment from Coffee Happy.

Spring Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Today is the launch of the Spring/Summer 2020 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! As always, STAMPlorations is one of the sponsors of the event so along with the rest of the STAMPloratios Inspirations team we are sharing extra inspiration over on the STAMPlorations blog today. There are four STAMPlorations gift codes up for grabs over at Coffee Loving Card Makers as part of the main Blog Hop, but as usual, Shery is being very generous and there is an extra prize drawn from those leaving comments on the STAMPlorations blog post.

We also have another reason to celebrate over on the STAMPlorations blog as we have recently released two new coffee themed stamp set. You may have seen the release post earlier this week and here are two other projects I created with these fun new stamp set.

For my first card, I used the coffee stamp from Sweet Kindness which I stamped four times and coloured using Copics. I heat embossed sentiments from Coffee Happy in white on black card and added them to the card.

For my second card I used the coffee cup from Bloomin' Coffee and You. I stamped it and coloured with Copics before fussy cutting the image. I die cut a background which I created with Distress Oxides using Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies, and added coffee beans using the Dots n' Beans stencil. Last, I added a sentiment from What's Brewing, matted everything on a piece of blue card which I attached to a card base decorated with Washi tape.

I hope you are inspired to create your own coffee themed projects!

More Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter 2019 Blog hop

I'm having so much fun creating with my STAMPlorations for the Zen Coffee Cups Layering Dies for the Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter Blog Hop that I couldn't stop at the one project I made the other day. I chose another die and paper pieced it using Tim Holtz Distress card. I find it so incredibly meditative to pick up those tiny little pieces of card and put them together into beautiful projects. A good cup of coffee, a few biscuits, a nice podcast and me and my tweezers. Saturday morning bliss is what it is! This time I added a sentiment from Coffee Happy and used the Dots n' Beans stencil to create the background for my card.

Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter Blog Hop 2019

Today is the start of the 2019 Coffee Lovers Fall/Winter Blog Hop and STAMPlorations is again one of the super sponsors! So we are celebrating over at STAMPlorations by sharing lots of {insert your favourite hot drink} themed projects, and if you know anything about STAMPlorations you will know there is most certainly going to be some extra prizes to win too!

I have recently had a coffee revelation. I changed the milk in my latte (yes, I'm one of those people who want my coffee with more milk than coffee) from the cow stuff to oat milk and that has made my coffees so much more enjoyable. As the tub of milk says - oh wow, no cow!

For my coffee card, I started by die cutting the Zen Coffee Cups Layering Dies using watercolour paper and coloured the die-cut using Gansai Tambi watercolours in autumnal hues. I attached the mug onto a panel I cut using Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies and finished the card with a heat embossed sentiment from What's Brewing.

I'm linking up over at The Card Concept.

Smile A Latte

All good things must come to an end, including my lovely autumn annual leave. Many pairs of socks have been knitted, many cards made and even more lettering practice has been done. But now it's over and I have to face going back to the coal mines...

Before that, I wanted to link up one more card over at the Fall Coffee Lover's Blog Hop - it's already the last day of the hop! Time goes so quickly. I'm also linking up with the new fall inspiration board challenge over at Lawn Fawnatics. I was inspired by the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. I'm also linking up with the "Autumn Colours" challenge over at Make My Monday and the "Pop It Up"challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (the tag is attached using 3D foam dots).
Card: kraft card, scraps of yellow, orange and red card, Neenah Solar white card

It's A Brew-tiful Day

Just popping in quickly for another card for the Fall Coffee Lover's Blog Hop, inspired by the sketch over at CAS(E) This Sketch and the colours over at Just Us Girls. I'm also linking up over at CAS Mix Up where the theme is stamping + watercolour wash + your choice (die cutting) and AAA Cards where the theme is Autumn Colours. I used a NBUS STAMPlorations set called What's Brewing. I absolutely adore the strong lines and graphic look of these stamps and they really came out great stamped in Distress Oxide ink. I added some water onto the stamped image with a watercolour brush to oxidise the ink. I also added just a little bit of shading to the coffee mug and the steam from the coffee pot using Distress Oxide, and then coloured the wrapper around the mug with the same orange and red Distress Ink I used for the background.

Card: 200 gsm white card, Daler&Rowney 300 gsm watercolour paper, Neenah Solar white card, orange and yellow card from my stash, Dovecraft 110 gsm vellum
Stamps: STAMPlorations What's Brewing
Dies: CUTplorations Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle dies, It's a Brew-tiful day phrase die
Ink and colouring: Tim Holtz Distress Ink Festive Berries, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Distress Oxide Vintage photo

STAMPlorations discount code: If you want to save 20% when shopping at the STAMPlorations store you can use the code STAMPGIRLKAROLA at checkout. The discount applies to all normal priced and discounted stamps, stencils and dies. The code cannot be combined with other discount codes.

Love You a Latte, Foxy

How many adulting points to I get for defrosting the freezer and descaling the kettle? I'd say at least enough to not do anything but eat cake and craft for the rest of the weekend!

I can't believe I almost missed out on the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge where the theme is Create a Scene. And what better than a fall scene with a little bit of coffee for the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop as well! Last, but not least I'm also linking up with Daring Cardmakers, where the theme is 4 Of Something (4 trees and 4 leaves).

Card: 250 gsm white card, Neenah Solar White card, scrap of dark brown card

More Summer Coffee

I just received a new batch of STAMPlorations goodies, including the awesome It's a Brew-tiful Day phrase die. So with the Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop still going, I couldn't help myself, I had to take the die for a spin.

I started by stamping the Framed Coffee to Go in Versamark and heat embossed in copper. Then I used the small dies from the Trendy Spring Blooms Dies set on some scrap pieces of rainbow card I created using Distress Oxides for another project. I cut the flowers to fit the coffee cup. I used the same scrap rainbow pieces to cut out the sentiment. I created a rainbow background by inking with Distress Oxides through the Dots All Over stencil.

I'm also linking up over at Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge where the theme is Stencil It and Make My Monday where the theme is Summer Brights.

Card: 300 gsm white card, 350 gsm Daler & Rowney watercolour card
Stamps: STAMPlorations Framed Coffee to Go
Stencil: ARTplorations Dots All Over
Inks: Tsukineko Versamark, Tim Holtz Distress Oxides

Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Well I have to admit I haven't had such a slow blogging month in all the years I have blogged. But it's summer, work is crazy, and I just went away for a few days. To Barcelona! And not for work, but just for fun!! Tapas, warm nights, Sangria, architecture, churros, sea food and a bike tour (yes, it was mostly focused on food, less on sight seeing. Priorities, you know...). Sooo much fun. And now I'm back and trying to make up for lost time in the crafty room. So many challenges I missed while I've been busy with all the other stuff.

I came back to realise the 2017 Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop is going on. Can't miss that one!! So I used the delicious Bloomin' Spring Coffee Basket stamp and coloured it with my Gansai Tambi watercolours, inspired by the colour palette over at Sunday Stamps and the Think Pink theme over at Shopping Our Stash. I splattered some watercolours on the backing card, and die cut the image using the Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies using the CAS(E) This Sketch for inspiration.

Inks: Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark
Dies: CUTplorations Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies

Don't forget the STAMPlorations Wishlist Linky Party is going on here, you can link up a wish list of your favourite products and win. The 4th Birthday celebrations will begin tomorrow, so make sure to come back both here and to the STAMPlorations blog tomorrow to get the week long party started! Also, don't forget you can get 20% off when shopping at the STAMPlorations store by using the code STAMPGIRLKAROLA at checkout. The discount applies to all normal priced and discounted stamps, stencils and dies. Together with the 15% birthday discount (which is applied automatically without any code) that adds up to a whopping 35% off your order!

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice

Pumpkins aren't really a big thing for me, and neither is pumpkin spice. It's clearly an American thing. I can't say I really care for a Pumpkin Spice Latte. Or pumpkin pie for that matter. But when I saw the gorgeous free digi-stamp over at STAMPlorations I knew I had to play along with the pumpkin theme for a day, perfect for the ongoing Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! I can't believe all the gorgeous fall coffee cards. And there is extra prizes to win on the STAMPlorations Fall Coffee Blog Hop page as well!! Which is were you can pick up the free digi if you get inspired to create a card.

I was also inspired by the image over at Just Us Girls, the colours over at Color Throwdown and the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches for my card. I printed the digi stamp on watercolour paper and coloured with Tim Holtz Distress markers and a waterbrush. I used Lawn Fawn patterned paper for the background and printed the sentiment onto orange card which I then die cut with a Lawn Fawn banner die. The font is a free one called Vintage Typewriter which I really love!

Card: White 200 gsm card, 300 gsm Daler&Rowney Aquafine watercolour paper, scrap of orange paper

Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

I'm so excited to be part of the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. I mean, who doesn't love a huge cup of the elixir of life? I have tried to cut down on my caffeine consumption due to health reasons, but it only makes every cup I can have an even bigger enjoyment. I used to just drink coffee while doing other things, but now I enjoy my Sunday morning treat while focusing on nothing but the coffee, maybe sitting in our lovely conservatory, looking out the window at the garden and fields beyond.

Did you get a craving for coffee? How about pouring yourself a big mug and then join us over at STAMPlorations for the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. Not only are there fabulous STAMPlorations prizes to win in the actual blog hop, but Shery also has some extra prizes for you over at STAMPlorations so come and join us!! And if you feel like doing a bit of shopping, you can find all STAMPlorations coffee related projects here.

I'm also very excited to get this chance to show you a few new coffee related crafty goodies from STAMPlorations. For my first card I used stamps from the new Anywhere There's Coffee stamp set and the matching die for the big coffee mug. I also used the new CUTplorations Oh Frap phrase die. I cut both panels for the card using the Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting dies and inked Distress Ink through the ARTplorations Art Splatters stencil which made me think of spilled coffee. I stamped the big coffee mug and stamped some of the funny little phrases onto it before colouring using Copics. I used Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Fall paper for the background and the sentiment.

For my second card, I started by stamping several phrases from the new STAMPlorations Anywhere There's Coffee in Versamark and heat embossing in clear powder. Then I inked the background using Tim Holtz Distress Inks in fall colours and splattered some water on the background to create a distressed look. For the main panel I stamped the new Framed Coffee To Go in Versamark on white card and heat embossed in copper before colouring the takeaway mug using Copics. I attached the panel using foam tape on the card base.
