STAMPlorations Inspiration

It's Tuesday and that means another instalment of the STAMPlorations Inspiration Post. It's starting to look a lot like autumn out there, so this week I was inspired by all the leaves which are starting to turn into those warm autumn colours.

I used Distress markers in various hues of yellows, oranges, reds and browns to colour the beautiful leaves from Trendy Leaves, spritzed them with water and stamped around the edges of a watercolour paper card front. I also diluted a bit of ink with water and splattered on the card. I created the sentiment by colouring a scrap of watercolour paper with the markers and blended with water before die cutting using the Hello word die.

I'm linking up over at Make My Monday where the theme is Autumn and Crafty Gals Corner where the theme is Fall Colours.

Pink Calla Lilies

Today's card was inspired by several challenges. I was inspired by the "Up to one third" theme over at AAA Cards and I also went with the inlaid die cut twist. I'm also excited to play along with the new Perfectly CAS challenge where the theme is Flowers. I used the colours from this week's Just Add Ink challenge and I'm also linking up over at The Flower Challenge where anything goes.

I used the STAMPlorations In Bloom: Classic Calla Lilies stamp which I heat embossed with clear powder before watercolouring with Distress Oxides on watercolour paper. I added a few splatters of green ink to the white space. I die cut the sentiment using the CUTplorations Hello word die. Last, I matted the card front onto dark green card.

January STAMPlorations challenges - Mid-Month Reminder

Have you played along with the STAMPlorations January challenges yet? If not this is our official announcement that the month is halfway through and we would love to see your projects if you haven't played along yet.

I created another card for the January CAS challenge where the optional colour twist is burgundy. I guess my background panel is somewhere between red and burgundy, but I think it's close enough. Well, it's the closest I had to burgundy or at least the closest I could find when I was crafting!

I used the adorable little cactus from Succulently, coloured with Copics and fussy cut. I die cut the background panel from burgundy(ish) card using the Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting dies and the sentiment using Hello Word die. I cut the bottom layer of the sentiment in navy card and the top using what looks like patterned paper but, in fact, is wrapping paper from a roll of TP of all things. Talk about recycling!
