STAMPlorations Inspiration

Happy Tuesday! It's time for another STAMPlorations Inspiration post. Today I made a card using the cute little succulent stamps from Succulently. I started by stamping the succulents and coloured them with Copics. Then I masked the succulents and used a paper to mask the edge of my inking. I used purple Distress Ink to Ink the bottom half of the card. I matted the card front onto purple card and then attached it to a white card base. Last I added a sentiment from Succulently.

STAMPlorations Inspiration

Hi all, how are you holding on? Are you finding some good things in this new strangeness we are getting used to? I have to admit that I do not miss my commute, as I am fortunate enough to be able to work from home and now have an extra three hours every day not wasted with commuting. I can't say I always use those three hours very efficiently but I can say for certain I'm getting more sleep than I have in my entire adult life which is wonderful. We just had a four day holiday here in the UK which was fantastic. We did a lot of work in the garden, I did a lot of baking and we finally had some time to binge-watch Netflix too.

But enough about non-crafty things, as I'm sure you are here because of today's  STAMPlorations Inspiration post. I was inspired by my lovely succulents which are now back in the conservatory after being evacuated in the house over the winter. They are very happy to be back in the light of the sun and seems like there weren't too many casualties this year. I stamped the cute succulents from Succulently in Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copics. I stamped one of the sentiments from the same set onto yellow card and matted the sentiment onto green card. I think it turned out super fun!

STAMPlorations Inspiration

Happy Tuesday and Happy STAMPlorations Inspiration Post day! For today's card, I was inspired by Helen's new Petals1 stencil. I thought it looked a lot like some of those lovely succulents so I inked through the stencil using Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio and Seedless Preserves. I then used the Basic A2 Panels Nesting Dies to cut the stencilled panel and used a slightly bigger die from the same set to cut the purple mat. Next, I stamped a few of the cute succulents from Succulently, coloured them with Copics and fussy cut them. Last I used the same purple card, as well as leftovers of the stencilled panel to die cut the sentiment using Skinny Sentiments

Don't forget to leave comments on the Inspiration Post and the designers blogs as we'll randomly draw a winner from all the comments for a $10 gift certificate. And I hope you have a very crafty day today!

STAMPlorations Birthday - Clear Stickers

Hi, how are you? Thanks for stopping by today! It's an extra special day today as we are sharing a lot of projects today with the new STAMPlorations Clear Stickers as part of our STAMPlorations 6th Birthday Celebration week. I had so much fun exploring the stickers and my fellow DT members have even more ideas over on the STAMPlorations blogThere are lots of great prizes up for grabs and many ways to win. You can comment on the blog posts and the designer's blogs, you can link up to the Wishlist Linky Party or share your birthday- or celebration themed creations in the Birthday Linky Party

For my first card I started by blending Vintage Photo and Ground Espresso Distress Ink onto white card and splattering with water. I left the centre of the card a bit lighter to show off the  Artsy Backgrounds sticker I added to the card. Then I heat embossed one of the deers from Yuletide Deer in copper on mahogany card. I stamped sentiments using Joy and finished the sentiment strips with attaching the same sticker from Artsy Backgrounds onto the sentiment strips.

For my second card, I started by stamping the gorgeous mandalas from Bloomdala in light brown before adding a sticker fro Artsy Backgrounds. I added a pink die cut using one of the dies from Bloomdala Bliss: Felicity and finished the card with a sentiment from Bloomdala.

For a quick and easy birthday card I used the Layered Cake Bake to stamp the cake and platter in Distress Oxides. I used a water brush to pull the colour from the outlines to colour the cake and the stand. I also splattered some yellow ink onto the card panel before adding a sticker from Birthday Word Art.

I used Layered Cake Bake and Birthday Word Art to create another quick and easy birthday card. I stamped the candles from Layered Cake Bake in a rainbow of Distress Oxides and added a sticker from Birthday Word Art. I used my Sharpies to colour the cake on the sticker, and my white Signo pen to add some highlights to the word "party" for a fun look.

There are so many fantastic stickers, so I had to create one more card. I started by attaching a sticker from Botanical Backgrounds to a white card panel. I stamped the cute little cacti from Succulently onto white card, coloured them with Copics and fussy cut them. Before attaching them to the card panel I splattered green watercolour for added texture. The sentiment is a sticker from Just Everyday Greetings which I attached to a strip of green card.

If you want to see more inspiration using the stickers, I have created a card kit using the Just Everyday Greetings stickers, you can find the post here.

STAMPlorations Inspiration

It's Tuesday and that means it's time for a new STAMPlorations Inspiration Post. Every Tuesday the STAMPlorations Inspiration team get to showcase our latest creations with our favourite STAMPloratons products. Over the years I have amassed quite a bit of these, and although I love them all, I have to admit some of them have become things I reach for over and over again. The Succulently stamp set is definitely one of my favourites, as I love house plants and succulents and cacti in particular (as they have a much better chance of surviving in my care than some of their more high maintenance cousins).

I started by stamping all of the sentiments from Succulently on kraft card in a matching ink for a subtle background. Then I stamped a few of the plants, coloured them with Copics and fussy cut them to create the focal image. Last, I die cut the sentiment using another workhorse of my crafty stash, the Hugs word die in brown card and added a few accents with my gel pen.

Don't forget to leave a comment on the  Inspiration Post and the designer's blogs for a chance to win prizes every month!

CAS Cacti

Today's card is a one-layer card, my favourite kind! I was inspired by the desert theme over at Cupcake Inspirations to stamp these succulents which I hope are close enough to the theme? I was also inspired by the colours over at Color Throwdown and I'm linking up over at Just Add Ink where the challenge is "Just add C" (cactus in my case) and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge where Anything Goes.

I stamped the cute little succulents from STAMPlorations Succulently, masking the first one before stamping the other one behind it. I coloured them with Copics and added a sentiment from the same set.

January STAMPlorations challenges - Mid-Month Reminder

Have you played along with the STAMPlorations January challenges yet? If not this is our official announcement that the month is halfway through and we would love to see your projects if you haven't played along yet.

I created another card for the January CAS challenge where the optional colour twist is burgundy. I guess my background panel is somewhere between red and burgundy, but I think it's close enough. Well, it's the closest I had to burgundy or at least the closest I could find when I was crafting!

I used the adorable little cactus from Succulently, coloured with Copics and fussy cut. I die cut the background panel from burgundy(ish) card using the Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting dies and the sentiment using Hello Word die. I cut the bottom layer of the sentiment in navy card and the top using what looks like patterned paper but, in fact, is wrapping paper from a roll of TP of all things. Talk about recycling!

Succulently Special

Cutting it close to the deadline - I've been planning to make this card ever since I saw the colours on Color Throwdown and somehow it's now a few hours before the deadline. But this time I was determined to make it. I played around with so many versions of the background and it didn't want to work and I changed the colour and the shape of the stencilled part and finally, finally I got there.

I'm also linking up over at AAA Cards where the theme is stencils.
