I decided I would complete all four Viva La Verve sketches this month, and here I am with my contribution to the last one (the three others are here, here and here). I'm very proud to say the first even got mentioned on the week 2 Recap and Viewfinder post on the Viva La Verve blog! This is my contribution to the last sketch of September. I can't believe it's October already, I am in utter disbelief at the speed the days are just disappearing. I know everyone says time just seems to speed up all the time, but this is just getting ridiculous. I really feel like I need a time machine to take me back to the spring and to review everything that happened this summer as I feel like I barely have any memories at all as time just disappeared. One thing I do know, is that I have spent a huge amount of time in the craft room lately. Maybe that's why time just seems to fly, because I'm having such a good time. Today's card is also inspired by the Just Us Girls photo inspiration. I'm also entering the card in the Make My Monday challenge where this week's theme is Die cuts and/or punches as I used a die to cut the scalloped circle.
For today's card I used some leftover papers in colours matching the photo. I used the lovely bloom from the Verve Surely Goodness stamp set and coloured using Stampin' Up markers. I stamped one of the sentiments from the same set onto vellum to let as much as possible of the lovely papers show through and added a smaller flower to mask where I adhered the vellum onto the card. To finish, I added just a little bit of stickles in the centre of the flowers.
